Dr Yasmin George has been part of the team at Oatlands Dental Lounge for 7 years, bringing with her over 30 years of experience in general practice, along with a Special interest in Orthodontics for adults and children.

She also has extensive experience in dealing with complex restorative cases and performing cosmetic dentistry, to help her patients to smile again.

Gaining her BDS at Guy’s Dental Hospital in London, Yasmin has been awarded Fellowships from the IADFE and the ICD: The International College of Dentistry. More recently (in 2019), Yasmin was awarded a Fellowship from the Pierre Fauchard Academy.

A key member of the team at Oatlands Dental Lounge, Yasmin’s approach is to use the latest treatments and techniques, to deliver the most successful outcome for her patients every single time. She is also well known for her empathetic and caring approach and is well liked by patients.

Yasmin believes in ‘’relationship-based’’ dentistry. This means she takes the time to get to know her patients, understanding their wants and needs. She is extremely adept at explaining the complex areas of orthodontic treatment to patients, in layman’s terms.

During her career, she has taken part in many training courses and attended conferences worldwide. She has served in a number of Dental Academies, Associations and Societies; taught at King’s College Faculty of Dentistry, and is on the Panel of Examiners for the Certificate in Dental Sedation Nursing and the National Examination Board for Dental Nurses. Dr Yasmin George is also part of the Visiting Faculty and on the Advisory Board at The Pankey Institute in Florida.

Types of Treatment

Yasmin offers a wide range of orthodontic treatments for adults, including ‘invisible’ types of braces.

As far as children are concerned, she is driven by a mission to assess and where indicated, treat early, allowing for development of the face as well as the teeth. As the mother of two boys, she has first-hand experience of just how important it is to care for young teeth.

Apprehensive clients can also feel relaxed in Yasmin’s care; a nervous patient herself, she understands their worries and concerns and is a Dental Phobia Certified dentist for over ten years. She can offer a range of techniques to help keep you calm, relaxed and in control.
